Okay, I just posted a whiney note in a private message to pookynlefty that I can't find out how to start a new topic in a forum. I hit the send button and get a different screen which lead me to a page where I could see how to post a new topic. Go figure!

Any way this group has been very quiet so I thought I'd see if I could get a conversation going. How do you all get motivated/creative? I started a new job (just part-time) in February. You'd think with only working 21 hours a week I'd be able to go in my craftroom and play to my heart's content. Only problem when I get in there I must be too tired or something as I can't think of a thing to do except look at all my stuff, move it around a bit, and then give up. I try looking at my magazines and I look at books for inspiration but it doesn't help. Maybe I'm overwhelming myself doing that?

Anyway, what do you all do to get inspired? Do you need a special occasion, a new tool, or what?

Help!

Carolyn

That's super! I just posted you a nice long reply to that private message explaining how to do it to find that you figured it out! GOOD FOR YOU! You did it on your own, you deserve a pat on the back.

The last layout I did was totally un-inspired. I was determined to try to get going on the many things I need to scrap, so I brought my children up to the playroom (which has my scrappin' station tucked away in a corner) and sat down to scrap. Mind you, I was trying to make sure my two-year-old didn't do anything to harm his eight-month-old sister while doing this... Well I had a lovely mental image of what I wanted the end result to be and well, it just didn't turn out that way. So I have this nasty habit of never ever keeping any layouts I've ever done (I've not kept one.) so I forced myself to keep it anyways. It's just so.... bland I suppose. I was going to do more with it, then had to stop a couple of times, and somehow I forgot something or other, and this was what I ended up with... I'll try to take a picture and post it up here... oh and I moved this topic to the scrapping thread, because it's appropriate for it.
